What your responsibilities will be...

 

Our team are looking for an enthusiastic individual to step in to a support staff role of optical assistant. As part of this role you will be be responsible for:

  • Administrative tasks such as entering, organising and compiling patient records for clinics. 

  • Answering the telephone and greeting customers face to face.

  • Communicating with patients.

  • Booking appointments.

  • Ordering of retail products, products used in practice and patient orders.

  • Having an understanding of basic eyecare.

As you will be involved in patient care you will be responsible in ensuring that all tasks are GDPR compliant. Full training and support will be provided for the use of our practice management system and pre-screening equipment. Coaching and support will also be given for tasks such as fitting and adjusting patient spectacles, understanding basic eyecare, spectacle care and contact lens care.
