Company Statement

Clark Family Eyecare is now temporarily closed to the public.

Ahead of the advice of our Prime Minister, on Monday 21st March we made the hard decision to temporarily close our doors to the general public. This was decided in the best interest of our customers, our team and their families; it is important that we all stay safe and stay home to avoid unnecessary contact  as much as possible. 

 

We will still be available to contact and will be working hard to complete all outstanding orders for contact lenses (including those due on our contact lens plan), spectacle orders and spectacle repair request. Once we are in receipt of the orders and they have undergone our usual checking process our customers will be contacted to arrange the most appropriate way to receive their orders. Should your spectacles be delivered to you and they aren't fitting correctly we ask that you call in for a fitting consultation when the government has confirmed it is safe to do so.  

 

We have a remote repairs service available; You simple post your spectacles to us, we'll repair them and send them back to you. For more information or to use this service please either call the shop; you will be given a number to contact Annica or fill in the form below and we will get back to you as soon as we can.     

In the event that you have concerns please do get in contact straight away. 

We will be back as soon as it is safe to do so but in the mean time as family business in the village we would love to stay in touch with you.

Clark Family Eyecare, are always committed to infection control as per our industry standards and during this pandemic we have various extra procedures in place to do our best to protect our customers and our staff. (More information in the table below).

Whilst we remain open, we will be working on an appointment only basis for eye examinations and collections. For those coming to the practice for repairs or other services/products without an appointment, you may be asked to wait outside should our capacity be at its maximum. 

Please do not attend the practice if you feel unwell, specifically if you have a new/persistant cough or a temperature. If you have a new/persistant cough and a temperature please use the NHS111 website. 

The practice has location as an advantage, we DO NOT have the same footfall as a town/city practice and therefore it is easier for us to monitor the movements of customers throughout the practice at any one given time. We are blessed to have a large premise which also allows us to be able to isolate each patient as they progress through the journey of their eyecare experience with us. 

We will be contacting customers who have booked appointments to confirm these and explain the procedures we have put in to place, of course we understand customer concerns at this moment and the possible need to cancel.

Our plan is to remain open as long as the government allow, and government progression is being monitored carefully.

 

If you are in isolation and have spectacles or contact lenses on order but are unable to collect then please contact the practice. We are happy to arrange delivery.

This is a difficult time for small businesses and the economy therefore we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers at this time for continued support and understanding. 

What to expect during your visit

1.

Firstly, we would like to say a massive thank you to all our customers for showing us immense support throughout this pandemic and to reassure you we are doing everything possible to continue as normal untill we are told otherwise.

2.

If you have an appointment booked we will call you in advance to make sure you are fit & well. Should you wish to rearrange your appointment we will be more than happy to do this for you.

3.

Infection control is paramount during this pandemic. Therefore we are asking everyone to either sanitise or wash your hands when arriving in the practice. All equipment will also be cleaned before and after every patient.

4.

All frames which are tried on during your visit will be placed on a tray in order for us to sanitise them before placing them back on display. This will be for every patient, so please don't feel you are being singled out in anyway.

5.

We are limiting the number of people in the practice at anyone time so if we do ask you to wait outside please respect this. We feel its in our's and your best interest to keep our customers and staff fit and healthy so we can continue to be open.

6.

Due to the size of our practice we are very lucky to be able to minimize any direct contact with other patients. With the recent new design of the practice patients follow a journey in a full circle. So, other than staff members we will do our upmost to minimise contact with others.
