Who are we?
We are a team of like-minded, customer-focused, eyewear-loving people. Leading the team are managing directors Cheryl and Annica Clark. They are a mother and daughter team who opened the Donington-based Opticians, Clark Family Eyecare, with the desire to give the level of eyecare they would love to receive. This includes time, patience and options for all budgets and styles and activities.
In our convenient Donington location, we are able to offer all this and more, including free parking on the doorstep and disabled access. Renowned for our expertise and care, Clark Family Eyecare has become a popular choice for local eyecare and have even been nominated for three customer service awards since 2019.
Over the years, Cheryl, Annica and their team have worked hard to create an experience around caring for your eyes and choosing eyewear. From the latest eyecare equipment and continued education to eyewear styling, looking after your eyes and feeling good about it, just got a whole lot easier!

Cheryl has worked in optics for many years, starting as an optical assistant before progressing to a dispensing assistant and then on to managerial roles, so it seems only right that she would open her own optical practice in 2008.

The daughter of Cheryl, Annica completed her studies with Anglia Ruskin University to qualify as a Dispensing Optician. Having been highly trained in spectacle dispensing, Annica particularly enjoys the frame selection process and is a qualified eyewear styling consultant with an eye for the right frame.

Having several years experience with high street opticians he made the move into independent optometry in 2013. As an optometrist Martin is friendly, interested in your needs and clinically focussed. He also has experience of fitting a wide range of contact lenses.

With many years experience in dispensing spectacles, Jenny is a lens expert. She loves getting to know people and their needs before recommending lenses which will suit them best depending on their requirements and their budget.

Nikki joined the Clark Eyecare team in June 2021 having worked in optics previously in her career. Nikki is one of the first faces you will see as you enter the practice. On hand to ensure your appointments get booked, your contact lenses are delivered and your spectacles are collected.

Mai is the 3rd generation of the family to join the team at Clark Family Eyecare, working part time whilst studying music at college. You will see Mai working on reception, greeting customers and answering the phone.
